Schemes and Projects

1. Computerization of PACS
The Centrally Sponsored Project for PACS Computerization has already been rolled out in the state during the year 2022-23 for digitization of all 268 LAMPS & PACS with an aim to bring transparency in the business activities of the societies. The project funding is in the ratio of 90:10 in between the Government of India and State Government. Procurement of computer hardware and other peripherals has been completed and delivered to all LAMPS & PACS. As of now, 242 LAMPS & PACS are in Go-Live stage. ERP onboarding has also been completed in respect of 249 LAMPS & PACS.

2.Computerization of RCS Office
Computerization of Office of Registrar of Cooperative Societies under the project “Strengthening of cooperatives through IT intervention”, Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India is also being implemented. 8 no. of hardware have procured and distributed to all the districts.

3.Computerization of TCARDB
Computerization of TCARDB is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme. This scheme has been introduced under the Digital India initiative to modernize the entire cooperative movement. Total estimated cost is ₹36.15 lakh which is to be borne in the ratio of 75:25 between the Government of India and TCARDB. As on date, 05 nos. of computers have been procured based on the availability of fund. Presently, it has 05(five) branches with head office at Agartala.

4.World's Largest Grain Storage Plan in Cooperative Sector:

•    Signing of MoUs with identified PACS.
•    Identification of suitable PACS in districts having deficit storage capacity.
•    To coordinate with Central/ State agencies (FCI, SWC, NAFED, NCCF, etc.) to work out the hiring plan for the proposed godown.

5.Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samriddhi Kendra (PMKSK):
•    All active fertilizer retailer PACS to be upgraded into PMKSKs.
•    All PMKSK PACS to be operationalized at the earliest to deliver all listed services to farmers.
•    Coordinating with District Agriculture Department to facilitate remaining PACS in getting fertilizer license 
•    All PACS to be upgraded to PMKSKs.

6.Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras:
•    Issuance of Drug License to all initially approved PACS.
•    Operationalization of PACS with Store Codes.
•    Encouraging PACS to sell allied medical products along with generic medicines to improve financial viability.

7. National Cooperative Database:
•    Updating details pertaining to basic information, membership details and additional services parameters on NCD portal. 

8.Common Service Centres (CSCs):
•    All PACS where Go-Live is completed to be operationalized as CSC.
•    All 67,930 PACS being computerized to be operationalized as CSC.
•    Ensuring training of all PACS in coordination with NCCT/ CSC-SPV.
•    Identifying those services that generate a certain minimum income for PACS.

9.National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL)
Government of India has set up a National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL) under Multi-State Cooperative Societies (MSCS) Act, 2002.  All cooperative societies from the level of primary to apex, who are interested in exports are eligible to become its member. This society will focus on exporting the surpluses available in the Indian cooperative sector by accessing wider markets beyond the geographical contours of the country, thereby; increasing the demand of Indian Cooperative products/services across the globe and fetch best possible prices for such products/services. 

10.National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL)
Government of India has set up a National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) under the MSCS Act 2002. Primary to national level cooperatives societies including multi state cooperative societies and Farmers Producer Organizations (FPOs) can become its Member. NCOL will manage various activities related to organic sector by providing certified and authentic organic products. It will help in unlocking demand and consumption potential of organic products in domestic as well as in global markets.

11.Bharatiya Beej Sahkari Samiti Limited (BBSSL)
Government of India has set up a Bharatiya Beej Sahkari Samiti Limited (BBSSL) under the MSCS Act 2002. Primary to national level cooperatives societies including primary societies, district, state and national level federations, multi state cooperative societies can become its Member. BBSSL will help in increasing the production of quality seeds in India through cooperatives thereby reducing the dependence on imported seeds, enhancing agriculture production and provide boost to rural economy.
